Kenta Shinohara (篠原 健太, Shinohara Kenta), born January 9, 1974 in Chiba Prefecture, is the creator and author of the manga series Sket Dance. He was once the Assistant of Hideaki Sorachi (author of Gintama), where he used the pen name "SHINTAROH NAKAE" (なかえ しんたろう) - an anagram of his actual name.
Career
- 2005 - Debuted in Akamaru Jump's winter issue with "Lesser Panda Puppet Show" (レッサーパンダ・パペットショー)
- 2006 - Sket Dance oneshot appears in Akamaru Jump's winter issue, and then in Weekly Jump's 39th issue.
- 2007 - Sket Dance is serialized in Weekly Jump, starting in issue 33.
- 2010 - Sket Dance wins the 55th annual Shogakukan Manga Award for best shōnen manga.
